The 2014 racing season is finally here and Weltmeyer Racing is looking forward to a year of challenges and expectations.
"Little Flyer" Dj Weltmeyer was busy over the winter with his college courses and race program but he also had the opportunity to work with Team Stange Racing's ARCA team at Daytona & Mobile Alabama.
Dj is presently building our 2014 model and looks forward to getting it on a racetrack soon! Until his new car is ready, he will be racing at selected events with a back-up car and he is presently working toward racing the JEGS/CRA race in Springport Michigan on May 4, 2014.
Looking forward to the season & seeing "You" at the races!
Racing For the Cause
On behalf of Weltmeyer Racing, we would like to publicly thank the incredible generosity of our fellow racecar drivers, friends, volunteers, and Illiana fans. Without your support, the Autism Awareness auction and raffle would have been impossible. With over 100 donation items and not a single piece not bid on, Weltmeyer Racing proudly took a stand in the fight against Autism.
Tough luck at Illiana
On Saturday, July 27, DJ qualified 5th and raced back to the 12th position in the feature at Illiana Motor Speedway. The finish did not indicate the hard work on and off the track, prior to being hit and spun from behind with 5 laps to go battling for the lead.
